Suddenly the idea of visiting New York came to mind. While at the total opposite of my initial plan I had always wanted to visit it but for various reasons this never became reality and was chosen in a jippy after taking a look at the weather forecast for the region compared to staying in Canada. A few hours later I was on my way in a greyhound bus for a seven hour bus to the capital for a four day trip that I didn't regret.
